Language Preservation

A language learning tool must help the learner do two things 1) hear your language and 2) speak your language. What sets a good tool apart from a great one is if it gets the learner to do this everyday. This is a lot to ask, but a language cannot be transmitted until the learner makes the first two commitments everyday. Our application takes the most important aspects of language skill building and pairs them with fast, fun, and challenging activities.

The activities, which are based in Indigenous language learning strategies and second language acquisition theory, are paired with the real voices of your speakers. The outcome will be documented minutes-to-hours spent everyday by learners practicing (hearing and speaking) your language. The goal: that every single learner who uses the application gains the confidence and baseline language skills to move into the most vital aspect of language learning–real time interpersonal communication with your speakers and other learners.
